TEAR DOWN THESE WALLS! - 10/17/2008

In an effort to lower our costs we agreed to complete the demolition work ourselves. Right now, 13 Firstfield is filled with offices and small cubicles. On Oct 27, we will begin tearing down the walls to open up the space that will soon be our very own worship center! Jeffrey McGowan, Jim Glass, Jose Perez and DJ Mast are donating their time and services to lead teams of volunteers in this project. This is a BIG job but it is possible for us to accomplish it if we work together. Whether you are experienced in this kind of work or not, there is a place for you to serve in this project. Our team leaders will show you exactly what to do. In addition to tearing down the walls, other tasks include: removing ceiling tiles and grids, ripping up carpeting, and hauling debris out to the dumpsters. I, myself, am signing up to serve a couple of shifts and if I can do it, ANYONE can do it!

Maybe you're thinking it's a little strange that we, as volunteers, would take on the demolition work in our building. I'll admit, it is a little out of the ordinary. But that's EXACTLY why we are doing it! Because Seneca Creek is filled with people who will go to extraordinary lengths to serve God and bring the gospel to our community! God has blessed us with this facility and through prayer, creativity, sacrifice, and hard work, He will help us to transform 13 Firstfield from an ordinary office building to an extraordinary place of worship, where thousands of people will have the opportunity to meet Jesus and have their lives transformed just like us! So, will you get on board? Sign up on line and tell us exactly which days you can serve.
